Kuwait Ministry of Education results for public and private Arabic schools are published on the Kuwait education portal, moe.edu.kw: open Student Results (نتائج الطلاب), choose the stage, educational area and school, enter the student’s Civil ID and search. Results appear school by school as each uploads its marks, and the ministry publishes running lists and statistics of the schools that have uploaded results (المدارس التي رفعت النتائج) for each area. Grade 12 results are announced centrally, usually in the second half of June, and can also be checked through e.gov.kw and the Sahel app.

How to check results on the MOE portal
- Go to moe.edu.kw and open نتائج الطلاب (Student Results) from the e-services menu.
- Select the stage – primary (ابتدائي), intermediate (متوسط) or secondary (ثانوي).
- Choose the educational area (Capital, Hawalli, Farwaniya, Ahmadi, Jahra or Mubarak Al-Kabeer) and then the school from the list.
- Enter the student’s 12-digit Civil ID number and press search; the results certificate opens and can be printed or saved.
- If the school does not appear, it has not uploaded yet – check the ministry’s list of schools that have uploaded results, which is updated through the day.
On results day the portal is busiest in the first hours after publication. If the page is slow, try again later in the morning or use the Sahel app, and make sure you have selected the correct educational area – a school only appears under its own area.
Schools that have uploaded results
Kuwait does not release all school results at the same moment. Each school uploads its marks after internal checks, and the ministry publishes the names of schools that have uploaded results (المدارس التي رفعت النتائج) for each educational area, together with running statistics showing how many schools in each area and stage have finished. Parents follow these lists to know when to try the portal.
| What you see | What it means |
|---|---|
| School name on the uploaded list | Results for that school are live; search with the Civil ID |
| School missing from the list | The school has not uploaded yet; check again later in the day |
| Area statistics (e.g. number of schools uploaded) | Progress of uploads in each educational area and stage |
| School appears but no result for a student | Check the Civil ID and stage; if still missing, contact the school |
The lists and statistics are published on the ministry’s portal and its official social media accounts. Unofficial channels often repost them, but always open the result itself on moe.edu.kw or Sahel.
Educational areas and the districts they cover
The portal lists schools by educational area, and each area matches one of Kuwait’s six governorates. If you are not sure which area your child’s school belongs to, use this guide:
| Educational area | Main districts |
|---|---|
| Capital (العاصمة) | Kuwait City, Sharq, Dasman, Shuwaikh, Kaifan, Qadsiya, Adailiya |
| Hawalli (حولي) | Hawalli, Salmiya, Jabriya, Rumaithiya, Salwa, Bayan, Mishref |
| Farwaniya (الفروانية) | Farwaniya, Khaitan, Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, Abbasiya, Ardiya |
| Ahmadi (الأحمدي) | Ahmadi, Fahaheel, Mangaf, Mahboula, Abu Halifa, Fintas |
| Jahra (الجهراء) | Jahra, Saad Al-Abdullah, Sulaibiya |
| Mubarak Al-Kabeer (مبارك الكبير) | Sabah Al-Salem, Adan, Qurain, Messila |
Results day checklist for parents
- Keep each child’s 12-digit Civil ID number written down or saved on your phone.
- Note the exact school name as it appears in Arabic, since the portal lists schools in Arabic.
- If you want to use Sahel, activate Kuwait Mobile ID well before results day.
- Follow the ministry’s uploaded-schools list rather than refreshing the results page repeatedly.
- Save the result as a PDF or screenshot, then collect the stamped certificate from the school.
Other ways to check results
- e.gov.kw → Ministry of Education e-services → Grade 12 results and term results, with Civil ID login.
- Sahel app → Services → Ministry of Education → student results (requires the parent’s Kuwait Mobile ID).
- The school itself prints stamped certificates, usually from the following day. The stamped certificate is what universities and other bodies accept.
- News coverage: Grade 12 results and the names of top students are reported by Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) and the Arabic dailies on announcement day.
Results timetable for 2026/2027
| Stage | First term | End of year |
|---|---|---|
| Kindergarten and primary | Continuous assessment; reports before the mid-year break (late January) | Late May – results within a week of the last day |
| Intermediate (Grades 6–9) | Exams in late December; results by mid-January | Exams late May – early June; results within 7–10 days |
| Secondary (Grades 10–11) | Exams 20–31 December 2026; results mid-January | Exams 23 May – 3 June 2027; results mid-June |
| Grade 12 | Exams 10–21 January 2027 | Exams late May – early June; results announced centrally late June |
Dates follow the 2026/2027 MOE calendar and may shift; the ministry announces exact result dates a few days in advance. See our Kuwait school calendar for term dates and holidays.
First-term results follow the same route as end-of-year results: schools upload marks after the December and January exams, the portal opens results school by school, and parents search with the Civil ID. Use the first-term result as an early warning – if a subject is weak, there is still a full term to improve before the final grade is set.
Kuwait’s school stages at a glance
| Stage | Arabic | Grades | Results published as |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kindergarten | رياض الأطفال | KG1–KG2 | Progress reports |
| Primary | ابتدائي | 1–5 | School results by Civil ID |
| Intermediate | متوسط | 6–9 | School results by Civil ID |
| Secondary | ثانوي | 10–12 | School results; Grade 12 announced centrally |
Public schools and private Arabic schools follow the ministry’s curriculum and appear on the MOE portal. When searching, make sure you choose the stage that matches the grade – Grade 6 is intermediate, not primary.
Grade 12 results: what to expect
Grade 12 (twelfth grade, الثاني عشر) results are the most important of the year because they decide university and college admission. Unlike other grades, they are announced centrally by the ministry on a single day, usually in the second half of June, and are widely covered in the media with the names of top-ranked students in the scientific and literary streams.
- The result shows the subject marks and the overall percentage.
- Kuwait University and the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) use the Grade 12 percentage for admission, together with their own tests and criteria.
- Keep a printed and digital copy; you will upload the result to university and scholarship portals.
- If you believe there is an error in a mark, ask the school promptly about the ministry’s review procedure and its deadlines.
To convert marks to percentages or a GPA, use our GPA and percentage calculator. University students can find the Kuwait University systems in our KU Moodle and SIS guide.
Private foreign schools
Indian, British, American, Pakistani, Filipino and other foreign-curriculum schools in Kuwait do not publish results on the MOE portal. They use their own parent portals and apps, and board exams follow the board’s own timetable – for example CBSE results for Indian schools or Cambridge and Edexcel results for British schools. Ask your school for login details at the start of the year. See schools in Kuwait for expats for an overview.
Troubleshooting: when the result does not appear
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| School not in the list | It has not uploaded yet – check the uploaded-schools list and try later |
| “No data” for the Civil ID | Check all 12 digits and that you chose the right stage, area and school |
| Page will not load | Peak traffic; try later, another browser or the Sahel app |
| Sahel asks for Mobile ID | The parent must activate Kuwait Mobile ID first |
| Result looks incomplete | Contact the school; some subjects may still be under review |
| Need an official copy | Collect the stamped certificate from the school |
Never enter a student’s Civil ID on unofficial websites or forms that promise results early. Results are only published on moe.edu.kw, e.gov.kw and Sahel.
